A century after Houdini’s death, the mystery continues…

The magician introduces a small stack of unusual cards, explaining that they are based upon promotional cards once used by the legendary magician and escapologist Harry Houdini.

A spectator is invited to take part. Just as Houdini might have done with one of his admirers, they are asked to sign their name across the crystal ball pictured on the card, making it completely unique and personal to them.

Beneath the crystal ball is a selection of playing cards. The spectator is asked to freely think of one of those cards and remember it.

The Houdini card is turned over and the mysterious rhyme printed on the reverse is read aloud.

Then comes the impossible moment.

The card is turned face up once again…

The spectator’s thought-of playing card has completely VANISHED from the photograph!

And because the spectator signed the crystal ball at the beginning, they know it is the very same Houdini card that has been in play throughout.

Better still, the signed Houdini card can be given to the spectator as a souvenir to take home and treasure forever — a lasting reminder of the impossible moment they witnessed.
